Sarah Jane Smith;

I'm a freelance investigative journalist who likes to save the world in my spare time. I lead a constantly dangerous life, filled with hostile aliens [and humans], but as long as I'm able to help those around me, I don't mind the danger.
When I was younger, I traveled with a man named the Doctor. He showed me wonderful, exotic places, mostly by accident [he never could steer the Tardis correctly, and I doubt that he's able to now!], and I usually ended up having to help him save the galaxy. When it was time for me to leave, I started investigating alien activity on my own [and I proved that you don't always need the Doctor to help you save the world!]. If you know where to look, there are all sorts of strange things happening on Earth.
